AbouT Billets
Billets and slabs are semi-finished steel products that typically have square or rectangular cross-sections. They are produced through a melting and casting process, wherein sponge iron, scrap and other requisite raw materials and alloys are melted in induction furnaces to produce molten steel. The molten steel is then cast through a continuous casting process into billets and slabs of the desired dimensions, cross-sections and lengths. Billets and slabs are utilized in the manufacture of various downstream steel products, including TMT Bars, wire rods, and HR Coils.
- Manufacturing Process: We use a modern induction furnace and continuous casting machine to produce billets with superior consistency, in various special steel grades, meeting IS 2830 and IS 2831 standards.
- Quality Control: Our billets undergo continuous testing and process control by skilled personnel to ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Production Capacity: With a capacity of 1,62,000 tonnes, BS Group meets the growing demand for high-quality billets in steel applications.
